It looks like Meghan Markle will be celebrating the upcoming birth of her baby on this side of the pond. Meghan won't get the public admiration she craves by playing the victim and trying to manipulate the press coverage of her.

Markle, 37, who married Prince Harry last May, is expecting her first child in April and celebrated her baby's pending homecoming at The Mark hotel in Manhattan. Earlier we saw Meghan spend time with her BFF aka stylist Jessica Mulroney and ace tennis player Serena Williams.

What is a baby shower?

The trip to NY comes when Meghan is believed to be approximately 30 weeks into her pregnancy.

Makeup artist Daniel Martin, the Duchess of Sussex's longtime friend who perfected her stunning wedding beauty, shared a sweet detail from the baby shower, posting an Instagram photo of three cookies decorated with a stork, a rattle and a baby bonnet.

Meghan's close friend and former Suits co-star Abigail Spencer was seen heading into the star-studded event. The mum-of-one told fans she had been enjoying a relaxing day at the hotel, writing: "Even on a relaxing day I often need to remind myself I am lovely and strong". Perhaps Kate has a special invite to this party.
