  • Wells Fargo Outage: Website, App Down and Not Working, Gateway Error

The outage affected Wells Fargo customers all around the USA, with all of the coastal areas experiencing the heaviest issues.

Wells Fargo customers from all over the US have been reporting that multiple services offered by the multinational financial services company's banking branch, with credit cards, ATMs, money transfers, and the online banking system all being down for most clients. "We apologize for the inconvenience", it said. Arielle O'Shea, NerdWallet's banking specialist, says it's possible some Wells Fargo customers could be facing late fees, interest on missed credit card payments, or may have to go without cash to pay for everyday expenses.

Wells Fargo, one of the nation's largest banks, also experienced a similar outage to their online services on February 1st. Wells said it was still working to restore services.

The same month, Wells Fargo blamed a computer glitch for an error affecting an estimated 545 customers who lost their homes.

Many customers are upset because Friday is the most-used pay day by employers and many customers are expecting their IRS income tax refund direct deposits.

The company didn't respond for hours to many customers' complaints and finally posted an admission that something was wrong shortly after 8:00 a.m. CST.

"I know I'm one that's leaving", one Twitter user wrote.

The company said customers should check Wells Fargo social media for updates on the outage.
