Chelsea head coach Maurizio Sarri confirmed Willian will not be leaving the club

The 21-year-old right wing has only played 363 minutes for Barca, however, scoring only two goals while suffering a pair of short-term injuries.

According to the Telegraph, the Blues have rejected an offer from Barcelona to swap Willian for Malcom plus cash.

Asked about Barcelona's reported interest in Willian, Sarri was quoted by Sky Sports as saying on Friday: "I didn't receive anything yesterday".

Willian is aged 30 and his contract will expire In the summer of 2020, having signed for the club for £30m from Anzhi Makhachkala in 2013.

Both clubs were involved in a discussion regarding the Brazil international's move to Camp Nou last summer.

When asked if he would be happy for Willian to leave, Sarri told reporters: "Of course not, because as you know a winger for us is very important".

Willian will not be leaving Chelsea during the January transfer window. He already has a €38m transfer fee around him and he would have been a suitable replacement for the ageing and under-performing Blues winger.

The Brazil global is thought to be on the Camp Nou club's radar, with Chelsea said to have rejected a Barca offer of Malcom plus cash for his services. Firstly, the Premier League heavyweights value Willian higher than what has been proposed as part of the deal.

The Chelsea boss then explained how Willian can further up his displays on the pitch.

BT Sport reporter Des Kelly said: "There's been a lot of talk about your future, how do you see things at the moment?"
