Seeking a political solution to the crisis, hosting millions, we have also been at the forefront of the fight against terrorism that ensued in the wake of this conflict. French ministers said in the aftermath of Trump's announcement that the fight against IS continued as the group had not been fully eliminated from the region. "ISIS is not defeated, Syria is a cauldron..."

The continued air support contrasts with initial reports last week that said the United States would likely end its air campaign against ISIS when it pulls out the troops.

Russia's Nezavisimaya Gazeta said that Israel is preparing for a comprehensive war on Syria following the US' withdrawal from the country. It will hold talks on Syria.

Turkey hasn't concealed its delight of Trump's decision as USA presence in northeastern Syria was always considered as a nuisance by Ankara.

Trump announced last week that he intends to withdraw the USA troops, who have been part of a coalition battling the Islamic State, claiming victory over the terror group. Are we going to depend on the United States again?

US partners have warned that a premature American withdrawal will allow IS to storm back.

The SDF has been battling ISIS around the town of Hajin since September.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan says he will probably meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin to discuss the USA withdrawal from Syria, Reuters reported Tuesday.

"I just had a long and productive call with President @RT_Erdogan of Turkey".

If the cohesion and partnerships among North Atlantic Treaty Organisation members continue to be eroded by Trump's unilateral approach to diplomacy, the West - or for that matter, the entire global community - may no longer be able to respond as quickly and decisively to major worldwide crises in the coming days as they did in the past, for example after Iraq's invasion of Kuwait or the 9/11 attacks.

For weeks, Turkey has been threatening to launch a new offensive against the Kurdish fighters, who partnered with the U.S. to drive the Islamic State group out of much of northern and eastern Syria.

President of Syrian Turkmen Assembly says that liberation of Manbij and the east of Euphrates River will be answer for "YPG terrorists who abuse Arab, Turkmen, and Kurdish minorities in northern Syria."

Between August 2016 and March 2017, Turkish troops supported Syrian opposition fighters capture territory from ISIS in northern Syria. Hezbollah is an Iran-backed terrorist organization based in neighboring Lebanon.

"We are cooperating with Turkey and Iran", Lavrov told a Russian news agency, according to a transcript posted on the Russian Foreign Ministry's website. "They thought to create a weapon of destruction to be used against us, but we defeat them with trickery, daring, and determination".

The Associated Press reported later on Wednesday that an Israeli security official had confirmed the IDF's responsibility for the previous night's strikes in Syria, saying a "series of targets" linked to Iranian arms transfers to Hezbollah had been hit.

At the same time, the Russian military on December 26 criticized the alleged Israeli airstrike, saying that it had endangered civilian flights and describing it as "provocative".

But he reiterated Israel's intention to prevent "Iranian military entrenchment, which is directed against us" in Syria.
