The Duke and Duchess of Sussex had both arrived at the beach wearing footwear but Harry went barefoot first, before Meghan chose to follow, handing her espadrilles to her husband.

The royal couple were treated to a demonstration of the RFDS' capabilities and mission, meeting members of the long-running service before participating in a ceremony to inaugurate the new aircraft.

"She'd never seen cotton used in flower arrangements before so when someone handed her a bouquet with cotton in it she turned to one of her minders said how attractive it was", she said.

And it seems the Duchess was keen to show she meant what she said as she wore a pair of eco-friendly shoes for the occasion.

"Prince Harry just hugged me", an overwhelmed Brown, who was shaking and crying, said.

The Duchess, who is pregnant with her first child, joined surfers and yogis on Bondi Beach for a session focused on improving mental health through outdoor exercise.

Historic snaps of Harry training in the army, strolling with Meghan Markle, and of their wedding day reveal he has barely kept it off his wrist for the past 20 years.

Meghan Markle was certainly taken by surprise during an official appearance in Melbourne on Thursday.

The couple announced they are expecting their first child upon arriving in Australia.

They then jumped on a tram - but didn't have to tap on - to inspect South Melbourne Beach and speak to locals involved in keeping the beach clean.

It was a busy day for the Duke and Duchess.

Duchess Meghan has been a good influence on Prince Harry, breaking him out of his shell, getting him to be a little more confident with himself.
