  • Kate Middleton and Prince William attended their first joint event together since the birth of Prince Louis

Kate only returned to royal duties last week after taking maternity leave for the birth of the couple's third child Prince Louis.

This time around, the royal attended the inaugural Global Ministerial Mental Health Summit with Prince William wearing a frock she wore on last year's goodwill tour of Poland and Germany.

She paired the ensemble with black velvet pumps, a box clutch and attractive and unique pearl and diamond earrings.

The Duke and Duchess have been longtime supporters of mental health awareness, promoting their organization, Heads Together, to help mental health charities and groups around the country and the world.

One of the policies up for discussion at the summit is a declaration committing to putting mental health on an equal footing with physical health.

Kate's appearance came ahead of World Mental Health Day on Wednesday.

Eagle-eyed fans of Kate's style will recognise the frock from her and Prince William's royal tour of Germany and Poland previous year.

Kate and William also met with Dairo Vargas, a contemporary fine artist from Columbia, who is creating an original piece of art at the summit, inspired by the day's events.

Meanwhile, Meghan has also opted for the Prince of Wales check before, wearing an off-shoulder top by NY brand Theory during her visit to Cardiff in January. The initiative was started by Dixon Chibanda and teaches the women to become lay health workers.

The couple, along with Prince Harry, have been credited with helping break down the stigma surrounding mental health by encouraging open conversations about it.
