LA Galaxy star Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored the 500th goal of his career for club and country on Saturday night in fittingly outlandish fashion.

"I am happy for Toronto because they will be remembered as my 500th victim", said Ibrahimovic. He has 17 goals and eight assists in 22 appearances with the Galaxy.

In the 43rd minute he reached a cross from Jonathan dos Santos in the box and did a karate kick movement to sent the ball flying in, a stunning and curious volley. "I probably have more goals than the guys on the field have games together".

But Jonathan Osorio put put the home side back in front and Jay Chapman rounded out a 5-3 win for the defending MLS champion.

His tally of club goals now stands at 438 including strikes for Malmo, Ajax, Juventus, Inter, Barcelona, PSG, AC Milan and Manchester United. I was just trying to hit the goal and it went in.

The striker now plies his trade in the U.S. after playing for an array of elite clubs in Europe such as Barcelona, AC Milan, PSG and Manchester United, chalking up goals that brought him a championship title in nearly every league he's played in.

Speaking after the clash, he said: "I was close to the goal".

Asked if it was memorable one for the coach, Kinnear said, "In about 10 years from now".
