Chelsea's Eden Hazard 'can score 40 goals' this season - Maurizio Sarri

However, the former Napoli manager Sarri is not entertaining the thought of Terry's return in a playing capacity. "We need to improve and we are able to improve I think, very quick". I have spoken to him in the last two days, and yesterday, I told him for me he can score 40 goals.

His current form comes off the back of a brilliant World Cup where he captained Belgium and won the silver ball, finishing just behind Luka Modric whose displays for Croatia saw him earn the most prestigious individual prize in Russian Federation. They've been one of the more prolific teams in the Premier League, likely due to Sarri's emphasis on attack-minded play.

In his post-match interview, Hazard was asked how much easier Giroud makes life for the players around him, and Hazard heaped the praise on the Frenchman, saying he was possibly the "best target man in the world". "I think that he can spend less energy than now at 50 or 60 metres to the oppositions goal".

"(He) just wants us to play and to find space between the lines so then Jorginho, Mateo Kovacic, Cesc Fabregas can find us", said Hazard.

Chelsea now sit top of the Premier League table on goal difference ahead of Liverpool.

The Blues will be looking to be one of the main contenders for the Premier League title this season as they look to try and enjoy a strong campaign under new boss Sarri.

Reigning champions City, meanwhile, are just two points behind, having comfortably won 3-0 at home to Fulham on Saturday. Pedro caused plenty of problems but was very wasteful with his shooting, whilst Giroud proved an excellent provider with two assists but failed to register a shot on target himself. My feeling is that now we are not a very solid team in the defensive phase.

Willian scored the fourth and final goal, with Sol Bamba actually giving the newly-promoted visitors the lead in the first-half.

Hazard had the help of a deflection to put Chelsea in front from close range and gave the home side breathing space from the spot after Willian was felled by Bamba.

The Belgian global got on the end of an Olivier Giroud pass to fire in to the bottom corner for 1-1.
