Aretha Franklin was carried down a red carpet into Detroit's Greater Grace Temple on Friday morning in a gold plated casket, wearing a gold, full length dress for her star-studded funeral.

Franklin is expected to make her final journey in the same ivory 1940 Cadillac LaSalle that transported the body of her father in 1984, and that of civil rights icon Rosa Parks in 2005.

Who's performing: An all-star lineup that includes Stevie Wonder, Faith Hill, Jennifer Hudson, Ariana Grande, Fantasia, Shirley Caesar and many more will perform at Aretha Franklin's funeral on Friday morning.

The service will reflect Franklin's strong gospel roots.

Aretha Franklin's funeral is honoring the Queen of Soul with pink Cadillacs and musical tributes galore.

Detroit regards Franklin as royalty.

He continued, " While the music she made captured some of our deepest human desires, namely affection and respect, and through her voice, her own voice, Aretha lifted those of millions, empowering and inspiring the vulnerable, the downtrodden, and everyone who may have just needed a little love". She wore a shimmering gold dress, with sequined heels - the fourth outfit Franklin was clothed in during a week of events leading up to her funeral.

"This woman got us all in these seats here today not because she had this breathtaking talent, which she did... but because she lived with courage - not without fear, but overcoming her fears". Seated behind the singer was former President Bill Clinton and Hillary Rodham Clinton as well as Rev. Al Sharpton and Rev. Jesse Jackson.

"When word went out that Ms. Franklin passed, Trump said she used to work for me".

Owens told CNN the funeral service will pay homage to Franklin's gospel roots and her love of the church. Her former husband Glynn Turman, who was at her bedside when she died, said that she was "a strong woman to the very end".

The singer said that she and the Queen of Soul ended up bonding the last time she spoke to her.

'We all have our days, ' the 74-year-old said. It's the key to freedom.

"After all she gave to the world, I felt we needed to give her an appropriate send-off that would match her legacy", Owens said.
