Jaguars' Ramsey has strong words for Allen, calling him 'trash'

17 August, 2018, 00:36 | Author: Lula Armstrong
  • Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford and wife Kelly Stafford Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback Jalen Ramsey

Ramsey, an All-Pro last season on a Jaguars team that reached the AFC championship game, is now serving a one-week suspension for his behavior toward the media at training camp.

Manning was asked about Ramsey's quote Wednesday, initially electing to ignore the comment before offering a jokingly verbal jab back, according to Scott Thompson of Sportsnet New York.

It's not something you see often in today's league, so Ramsey's outspokenness is definitely an interesting wrinkle as the Jaguars try to get back to the playoffs and improve upon last year's incredible season. Fortunately for the Bills, Ramsey's comments aren't really doing much for Allen. I don't care what nobody says.

That included calling Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger "decent" and saying "he ain't all that". "If all those teams were wanting [Cleveland Browns' No. 1 overall pick] Baker [Mayfield] so bad - Baker compares better with Lamar than any of those other quarterbacks". The 37-year-old has played like his best years are well behind him, as he struggled to play with any level of consistency in 2017.

However, Ramsey had plenty of things to say to slam some other quarterbacks in the NFL. He hadn't even heard about what Ramsey had said until he was asked about it, according to Sal Capaccio. I hope he's their starting quarterback. "I think it's Odell [Beckham, Jr.]". So if they want that type of quarterback-confident, get out the pocket, throw on the run, big plays, charisma-then yeah, I understand Baker going number one.

On Joe Flacco: "Flacco sucks".

Among Ramsey's many targets for scorn was Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan, who he called overrated. Especially the next time the Jaguars have a big game in January. I played him two years in a row.
