Things appeared to end on a ideal note for the newly engaged couple, with Swift's stamp of approval, as he tweeted out to celebrate, "She called me a baller and said that she is never surprised".

Though he had previously tagged Swift in some tweets in an effort to get her attention, he said on Twitter Friday they were ultimately "picked at random" for the face-to-face with the pop star.

'It's a nice view though'. Swift shared a photo of the engagement on her Instagram account, joking that she was the third wheel-clearly, that was anything but the case. Taylor Swift is a huge part of our relationship. I'm just going to figure out what to do next.

She can be seen holding a picture of herself as a little girl standing in front of the same shed with the caption "Take me home ".

Later, her crew managed to lower her back to the main stage but she was then left with the dilemma of how to get to the back of the stadium where she sings Shake It Off, and a number of specifically chosen songs for that night.

Swift isn't the first to have some issues with tour machinery lately; Beyoncé also had a problem with a flying stage malfunction earlier this month on her own On the Run II Tour with Jay Z. But as a professional, Swift knew exactly how to keep the audience happy: just keep interacting with them.

Taylor has pulled out all of the stops so far on the extensive tour, bringing out her showbiz pals Niall Horan, Selena Gomez, Shawn Mendes, Troye Sivan and Robbie Williams for duets.

A set malfunction left Taylor Swift trapped in a lit-up basket while trying to get to her second stage at a show in Philly, but don't worry - the singer recovered by singing an a cappella version of 'Our Song'.

Fortunately, she made it through the show like the pro she is and her Swifties loved her even more for it!
