According to multiple reports from local Italian media, the 57-year-old actor was injured in Sardinia, where he is now filming the mini-series, "Catch-22". The Money Monster star was going 60 miles per hour and thrown 20 feet in the air, TMZ reports and his rep confirms. A health official confirmed that he was taken to the hospital and treated for injuries that were "not serious".

There Clooney underwent an MRI. No irregularities were found in a scan and Clooney left the hospital at 10 a.m. local time.

George Clooney has been hospitalised after crashing his bike in Sardinia, Italy, according to reports. Police said they have no information, but the hospital apparently told NBC News Clooney has already been discharged. He was rushed to the hospital with a "slight trauma to the pelvis and bruises to one leg and an arm".

He officially married Amal in Venice in September 2014, a few days after a lavish party in Lake Como. He suffered a broken rib, and she broke her foot.

Clooney's spokesman, Stan Rosenfield, explained the accident to the media, relaying that, "He's doing fine".

It is reported that George was then x-rayed and seen to by a doctor, before being discharged the same morning and leaving the premises in a chauffeur driven vehicle.

George and Amal were seen arrive in the island on a private jet at the end of June with their twins Alexander and Ella.
