  • Fortnite Playground LTM: Epic promises it will return today

It's clear that Epic Games is keen to make the mode available as it has been a highly-anticipated feature ever since it was first revealed last month.

Keep your internet tuned to this page for more gripping updates, Fortnite fans! When Thursday rolled around though, there we no updates on the situation and PlayGround Mode was still down.

In a Reddit post today (June 29), Epic Games announced that it's replacing Fortnite Battle Royal's Final Fight limited-time mode (LTM) with the tried-and-tested 50v50 LTM.

"We want to inform you that the Playground LTM will remain closed for repairs for the night".

The Playground mode update adds: "Once we have confirmed that our testing was successful we will begin gradually rolling servers out to all regions and platforms until it's available to all players".

So how long will the new game mode be down and when can we expect it to be working again?

"Show us your creativity in the new Playground LTM as you drop onto the island with up to 3 friends".

The mode's introduction made sense, considering the influx of new players after the game's Switch version launched, but apparently the servers just couldn't quite handle all the interest in training mode access.

Introduced as part of the V4.5 update on June 27th, Playground Mode was an instant hit with the players that got to try it out but it was disabled after just a few hours of being live due to the need to "investigate some issues with out matchmaking services". "We're still testing these changes but are aiming to return this mode later today". Even more so than if they did that in the regular modes, I mean, since your teammates' lives are literally the points you use to win.
