Late-night hosts unite against President Trump

  • Late night hosts Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Fallon teamed up for a video call skit on Tuesday after President Trump slammed them for having'no talent during his South Carolina rally

"That's Conan", Stephen continued in reference to Conan O'Brien who shockingly was the only late night host Trump didn't mock.

Fallon responded by saying in his opening monologue that he had never spoken to the President about the ratings. In the sketch, Colbert calls Fallon on a video chat. Fallon noted that Trump called the hosts "all no talent, lowlifes, lost souls", to which Colbert responded, "That's not right". However, Donald Trump doesn't seem to understand this as he was extremely offended when Jimmy Fallon dissed his hair from an appearance he made on The Tonight Show back in 2016. "Hey, lost soul", replies Colbert. O'Brien was not mentioned by the president during the rally at Airport High School. "Listen, Mr. President. I will not stand here and let you talk that way about James Corden", he joked.

The late-night competitors united for the cold open of "The Late Show" where "lost soul" Fallon called "low life" Colbert to touch base.

On the June 26 open of The Late Show, Stephen FaceTime'd Fallon, who said "Hey low-life", when answering the phone. "Be civil", Conan said.

The late show hosts may have had the last word for now, but then Trump's not really known for his silences. "He's president?! Wow! How's he doing?" "If we're not careful, this thing could start to get ugly", O'Brien said before inviting the other late-night stars to watch him shave his chest.

"What do you want to eat?" "He went after Jimmy Fallon, he went after Jimmy Kimmel, and then he went after someone else on TV you know and love".

Colbert brought Trump's attacks up in a later segment of his show. The president railed against Jimmy Kimmel as well, who's been his most outspoken critic in late night, calling him "terrible", as reported by Time.
