  • You won't believe where the cameras are on OPPO's new flagship

Oppo Find X is said to sport a staggering 93.4 per cent screen-to-body ratio making it a truly bezel-less smartphone in the market today. As for the performance, the flagship comes powered by the top tier Snapdragon 845 chipset backed by an Adreno 630 GPU and 8GB of RAM.

Separately, The Verge has already published a hands-on report on the Oppo Find X, giving us an nearly complete look at the smartphone along with most of its specifications. Oppo says all of this happens in less than 0.5 seconds so that you won't ever have to wait. Some slight variations in price are also possible. However, for people willing to take that chance, the Oppo Find X does look like quite a spectacular phone. There is also a Find X Automobili Lamborghini Edition Smartphone with Super VOOC flash charge technology.

OPPO already has experience in the field of rotating cameras so there should be no issues with the durability of the sliding system though it should be noted that since this is a moving part, it will wear down eventually. It flaunts a 6.4-inch OLED screen that runs at full HD+ (2340×1080 pixels) resolution. First Vivo and now OPPO have introduced a phone with the pop-up future. It may be available in two colour options, Bordeaux Red and Glacier Blue. On the NEX, only a small rectangle pops up from the top of the phone to reveal the front camera. Instead, users have to use the face unlock feature or enter into the camera app, when an entire offset section of the device is servo-fed up to visibility, showing off the two 16- and 20-megapixel cameras at the back and a 25-megapixel camera with a three-dimensional spatial sensor in front.

They all seem to work reasonably well, but during our brief time in the awkwardly lit demo area it was hard to really gauge how good the Find X cameras are. The AI assists while clicking portrait photos, and also helps in automatic screen recognition.

Oppo Find X will make its global debut on June 19.

There's a sizable 3,730mAh battery sealed inside the Find X, and it features Oppo's VOOC fast charging technology allowing you to give it a quick blast before heading out the door, via the USB-C port.

The phone also comes with 512GB of storage, as well as Lamborghini's logo on the back. That's about $1,156, £878 or AU$1,568. We've asked OPPO Australia for more details on a launch here and we'll let you know if there's any updates.

So how are we going to take pictures with this smartphone?

The Oppo Find X release date is set for August, but we're waiting for confirmation from the firm where it will go on sale.
