  • Fitbit gets quick replies and menstrual cycle tracking

The lightest metal smartwatch in the United States, the Versa boasts an extremely thin anodized aluminum case with an angled and slightly tapered design flawless for small or large wrists. Users with Android apps will get the feature in a few weeks. In the Community tab, Fitbit also added a section of groups for women to discuss topics like birth control, pregnancy and menopause.

Quick Replies are now exclusive to folks using a Versa or Ionic with an Android phone, and just like Fitbit said earlier in the year, this allows you to reply to texts, tweets, WhatsApp, and more using five pre-loaded messages. Those with an Android phone will be able to send up to five custom or pre-population replies that are 60 characters or less. Quick replies will be available for smartwatch owners on Android.

Compatible only with the Versa Special Edition is Fitbit Pay.

Currently, there are no plans to expand this feature to iOS.

The Versa also supports phone-free music - 2.5GB of the watch's 4GB storage is even reserved exclusively for tunes - and even features Pandora and Deezer access. "With these apps and clock faces, we continue to deliver on our promise to bring important health information to the wrist", said James Park, co-founder and CEO of Fitbit.

And what would a Fitbit wearable be without fitness tracking?

On the Ionic and Versa meanwhile, you can now track where you are in your cycle, view when your period is expected, and predict your upcoming fertile window in the on-device dashboard (by swiping up from the clock face). Over time, the accumulated data helps create a more personalized approach to staying active, getting more sleep, or keeping organized.

Built using Fitbit's software development kit, the apps and clock faces will give users new options to improve wellness and help manage health related conditions. That way, it will be able to offer more insights based on how your cycle impacts activity, weight and nutrition, sleep, and more.

All apps and clock faces will be available by summer 2018. Or program your own responses from the app.

Lastly, Fitbit is also releasing new apps and clock faces that all aim to help people live a healthier life.

To unleash the new features, users must first update to the latest version of the app from their phone. The list of partners includes excom, Diplomat Pharmacy Inc., Fitabase, Go365, Limeade, One Drop, Sickweather and Walgreens.
