Kanye West brazenly declared that slavery sounds to him like it was "a choice" during a contentious TV appearance. 400 years and it's all of y'all?'

In a two-hour interview with U.S. radio host Charlamagne Tha God, the controversial rapper spoke about the incidents which he believes contributed to his mental decline.

In the video, West defends his decision to wear a "Make America Great Again" hat on social media, while T.I. presses West on the motivations underlying his support for Trump. "It depends on how you look at it", explained West.

"And that sharpens the diamond-our mind, our consciousness, the way we are thinking, just breaking some shit". More pointedly, T.I. speaks for many West fans who have witnessed the artist's petulant, against-the-grain outbursts before and yet continued to support his career. We are following other people's opinions. We're taught how to feel. "But we also think that sometimes Kanye West talks out of turn and perhaps sometimes he needs some assistance in helping him to formulate some of his thoughts". We're taught how to feel. "I felt a freedom". "That is just as racist as anything I can imagine". "The class war is one of the reasons why Trump won".

West then walked over to Van and said he was "sorry" he hurt him.

In an open letter to the star, Dr Jan Adams wrote: "I ask that you cease and desist using my photo or any image of me to promote your album or any of your work".

"Kanye, you're entitled to your thought and you're entitled to believe whatever you want". But there is fact and real word outcome behind everything you just said, ' he continued. "We are going to keep showing you negative, negative, negative, negative, negative, when - these are human beings", he said. "Frankly, I'm disappointed, I'm appalled and, brother, I am unbelievably hurt by the fact that you have morphed into something, to me, that's not real". "Your voice is too big".

West also spoke about his much-maligned Yeezy show at New York Fashion Week in September 2016 where he was accused of turning up two hours late (he maintains it was 45 minutes), while models fainted in the heat. And it's on the house.
