However, it is predicted that RCB will win this match against CSK to secure their place in the playoff.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni won the toss and opted to field against struggling Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium here on Wednesday. CSK managed 16 ff the penultimate over, thanks to some terrible bowling by Mohammed Shiraj, who conceded two wides and a no ball. Besides Dhoni, it was Ambati Rayudu who contributed significantly to team's success. Apart from the results, skipper Dhoni is most pleased that all in the park are making significant contributions and that they don't need to only depend on a few to get the job done.

Earlier It had been the Proteas show for some time as RCB's South Africans AB de Villiers and Quinton de Kock combined for the first ever hundred partnership between two saffers in the IPL. De Kock (53, 37 balls; 4×1, 6×4) played the flawless supporting role in the 103-run second wicket stand with de Villiers (68 off 30; 4×2, 6×8), who started from the word go to bring up his half century in just 23 deliveries. Kohli's quickfire 57 and unbeaten 92 against Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai Indians respectively also has boosted RCB's confidence.

Despite Kohli back in the pavilion, de Kock yet again held fort from the other end and waited for the loose balls as de Villiers began his carnage at the other end. Shikhar Dhawan-David Warner combine are placed third with 2357 runs. RCB will be banking on the captain Virat Kohli who has had a good run with the bat. Shane Watson whacked a hundred against Rajasthan Royals while Ambati Rayudu has a match-winning 79 to his name.

Also keen to perform will be captain Dhoni (139) himself and Dwayne Bravo (104). Against a power-packed CSK batting, RCB must tighten-up their bowling having conceded 200 plus runs twice at home.

Chennai Super Kings were off to a bad start with Pawan Negi sending back Shane Watson with just eight rns on the board.

In the bowling department, pacer Chris Woakes has been impressive with eight wickets from four games while Umesh Yadav has also provided the much needed breakthrough whenever his side needed.

Umesh Yadav bowled his four overs on the trot from the start getting the new ball to talk and returning figures of 1 for 23 that included the wicket of an out of sorts Suresh Raina (11).

Dhoni's 34-ball 70 not out and Rayudu's 82 off 53 balls lifted CSK out of a hole at 74/4 to post a famous win that took them to top of the table with 10 points from five wins in six matches.
