There will be more. "We have to be conscious of the fact that we can't allow even the smallest use of chemical weapons".

Yoav Gallant, a member of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's security cabinet, said: "The use of chemical weapons crosses a red line that humanity can no longer tolerate".

The chairman of the USA joint chiefs of staff, Gen Joseph Dunford, said Him Shinshar was "the primary location of Syrian sarin and precursor production equipment".

"It's not satisfactory that these kinds of actions are now happening on a regular basis, where we can't get absolutely watertight proof publicly available in advance, rather than being told to trust the Government - and then an action like this happens". "Hopefully he's gotten the message". "We are prepared to sustain this response until the Syrian regime stops its use of prohibited chemical agents", Mr Trump said in a televised address as the attacks were being carried out.

Moscow called the emergency Council meeting after the US, France and the United Kingdom fired scores of cruise missiles at what they said were chemical weapons facilities in Syria in response to an alleged chemical weapons attack by Damascus last week.

With the opposition Labour, Scottish National and Liberal Democrat parties all saying she was wrong to order the attack without consulting Parliament, and Labour and the SNP also condemning the attack itself, May will be lucky if she avoids a vote.

"So it was mission accomplished".

"We can not stand by as Russian Federation trashes every worldwide norm that we stand for", Ms Haley said.

Haley noted that Russian Federation has vetoed six resolutions in the U.N. Security Council regarding chemical weapons.

She said Russian Federation needs to feel the consequences of protecting the Assad regime. "We can't control what a country does to its people".

The Pentagon said that a joint US-British-French operation against Syria's regime had "successfully hit every target", countering assertions from Russian Federation that dozens of missiles were intercepted.

Russia, which supports the Assad regime, called the operation an "act of aggression" that violated the "norms and principles of global law", and warned of "consequences" for the U.S.

Britain's Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson attends the BBC's Marr Show in London, Apr. 15, 2018.

As reported, the armed forces of the United States, Britain and France on April 14 inflicted air strikes on a number of facilities in Syria related to the development and use of chemical weapons.

USA military officials said an initial assessment showed every one of the missiles struck its target on Saturday, reducing the facilities to rubble while avoiding any civilian casualties.

Among those targeted by the US-led operation was the Al-Dumayr military airport outside of Damascus.

Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn, who has opposed British military action throughout his career, described the attack as "legally questionable".

"It's indeed a question of gas, chlorine gas, and undoubtedly also other kinds of gas", Le Drian said. But late Saturday, senior administration officials called the evidence "incontrovertible". He accused the allies of violating the UN Charter and global law.

The attack destroyed a building that includes a learning centre and laboratories, Syrian state TV added.
