U.S. leaving Syria 'very soon', Trump says

President Trump said that USA forces would leave Syria "very soon" during a speech in Richfield, Ohio, on Thursday.

Trump said at an event in OH that the USA will withdraw its troops from Syria very soon and let other people take care of it.

The US spent $7 trillion in the Middle East, Trump said, describing how the US would build schools only for insurgents to destroy them, while there was no funding to build schools in Ohio.

"We're there for one reason: to get ISIS and get rid of ISIS, and to go home", the U.S. president had said. "Let the other people take care of it now", he told supporters during a speech in OH about his infrastructure proposal.

He told the OH workers that the American troops have "knocked the hell out of ISIS". "We're taking it all back quickly". "We'll be coming out of Syria very soon".

Turkey, which recently launched a military operation inside Syria, considers the Kurdish Democratic Union Party (PYD) in Syria and its armed-wing YPG to be "terrorist groups" with ties to the banned Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK).

He reiterated "Very soon, very soon, we're coming out", signalling that around 2,000 U.S. troops in the country could be on their way out.

Turkish officials said earlier that they expect the U.S.to act in accordance with the common understanding reached by both sides.
