  • Marvel announces new Fantastic Four by Slott and Pichelli

In an interview with Newsarama last August, Secret Wars writer Jonathan Hickman said, "I think it's pretty common knowledge at this point that Marvel isn't publishing Fantastic Four due to their disagreement with Fox".

Two years later, Slott got his dream assignment of becoming one of the main writers on Amazing Spider-Man. Word on the street suggested the decision might have had something to do with Marvel's falling-out with 20th Century Fox over the Fantastic Four license, and as soon as rumors regarding the Disney/20th Century Fox merger began making the rounds, the internet did what it always does: began speculating what this might mean for the Fantastic Four's possible inclusion in the MCU.

That's Marvel's official website revealing that, yes, the Fantastic Four are coming back, and they'll be here this summer.

The Fantastic 4 were left dead in the water, that was until we were given a reboot film in 2015, called "Fantastic Four". He is certainly someone who should inspire excitement for this title as is Pichelli, an Italian comic book artist who first illustrated the Miles Morales version of Ultimate Spider-Man. The Thing is the big orange rock guy. Johnny is on fire when he flames on. "Sara can do that like nobody else".

Ending months of teasing, Marvel Entertainment has confirmed that it is resurrecting the Fantastic Four as a comic book property with the August relaunch of the series, by Dan Slott and Sara Pichelli. And what better way to celebrate than the return of Stan Lee and Jack Kirby's Fantastic Four?

"I can't wait to draw a lot of the characters, but there's one in particular I can't reveal yet". "You will know why they're my favorite when you read the book!"

Marvel's first family has not reunited since Jonathan Hickman separated the team in Secret Wars in 2016.

For those not steeped in comic book lore, the team features Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman, who are married; the Human Torch, who is her brother; and The Thing, a family friend.

Slott has plans for at least 55 issues of the series in order to reach the landmark 700th issue of the series, according to the New York Times. Let us know in the comments.
