  • Pat Shurmur expects Odell Beckham Jr. to attend Giants' offseason program

Speaking at the National Football League owners meetings on Tuesday, Shurmur said: "All reports are he will be ready to go as we get going".

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport took things a step further Tuesday, reporting that the Giants actually are listening to offers for the 25-year old. "All indications are he will be back healthy by the time we start playing in September".

Beckham, who had his 2017 season cut short by a broken ankle in October, has been pushing for a long-term contract during the offseason.

The current understanding of the New York Giants wide receiver debacle is that he will not set foot on the field without a new contract extension with the Giants or any other team.

Shurmur suggested Mara's comments were being overblown.

"All reports are he will be ready to go as we get going", Shurmur said. It's unclear what the Giants would be looking for in return.

Beckham recently was seen in a video in bed with a woman and what appeared to be white powder, though the timing of the video and its content is uncertain. "I think he knows what we expect of him, and now it's up to him", Mara said. Who knows how that video appeared?

So even though the Los Angeles Rams have been linked to trade rumors involving the New York Giants and wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., nobody from the Rams is at liberty to acknowledge it.

Odell Beckham Jr. and New York Giants fans' heads might still be spinning after what turned into a hectic Monday. "The only way you get to know somebody is by visiting with them and I got a good sense, a better sense, of who he is".

In the first three-plus seasons of his career, Beckham, the 2014 Offensive Rookie of the Year, has amassed 313 receptions for 4,424 yards with 38 touchdowns. "He's been an outstanding player, especially his first three years".

One thing we know about Dave Gettleman: he does not suffer high-maintenance players lightly.

In fact, Beckham may fall out with Gettleman before he's even played a single game for his new general manager.

"When you build a chemistry, you can't develop those relationships unless you are working together", Shurmur said.

"When too much becomes too much, I think everyone's aware of it", Tisch said. "I don't know if I'm going to drop dead of a heart attack in two seconds". But the players need to be there.
