  • Dairy Queen giving away free vanilla ice cream cones to celebrate first day of spring

Tuesday, March 20 is the first day of spring. The tweet reads, "I am #FreeConeDay". All customers can receive a free small vanilla soft-serve cone, which of course comes with the signature DQ curl on top.

Of course, there's a limit to only one per customer, but who can resist?

This offer is valid at participating Dairy Queen locations all day. "This day has become a spring tradition and a sign that warmer weather is upon us". Dairy Queen's throughout MI are expected to participate, but guests are advised to contact individual stores to confirm participation.

While Dairy Queen is not charging for the cones, it is soliciting donations for the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. Dairy Queen fans and franchises helped the company bring in almost $300,000 in one day past year, the company adds.
