Amazon has announced today that it's expanding Whole Foods deliveries to San Francisco and Atlanta.

Amazon last month began offering delivery from the organic grocer, which it bought last August, in four markets: Dallas and Austin, Texas; Cincinnati; and Virginia Beach, Virginia. Customers can go online or use the Prime Now app available on Android and iOS devices. "Together, we have already lowered prices on many items, and this offering makes Prime customers' lives even easier". Alcohol is available in San Francisco, although state regulations prevent alcohol from being delivered in Atlanta. Members of the service offered by Seattle-based Amazon receive two-hour delivery free and ultra-fast delivery within an hour for $7.99 on orders of $35 or higher.

This news comes just weeks after Greeley took on more responsibilities with Whole Foods, which Amazon acquired in 2017.

As in the other cities, it will be available during the hours the local Whole Foods stores are open, generally 8 a.m.to 10 p.m.

"We thank Greg for his contributions to Amazon and wish him the best in his new role", an Amazon spokesperson said in an email statement. At issue has been the potential expansion of consumer brands Whole Foods could offer. Whole Foods Market has been ranked one of the "100 Best Companies to Work For" in America by FORTUNE magazine for 20 consecutive years.
