  • The Duke of Cambridge was greeted by staff at Evelina London Children's Hospital before introducing him to some of the patients being treated there

The royal stepped out on Thursday to meet with military veterans who are working with Britain's National Health Service. Last year, he also joked with a hairstylist about not being able to give him much business because he doesn't have much hair either. Members of the royal family have been known to rib the 35-year-old for his receding hairline.

And now Prince William has chose to have a bit of a makeover - although his latest look has left the internet divided.

Prince William sported a newly trimmed hairstyle as he visited a children's hospital.

Once in possession of a cherubic mop of blonde curls much like his mother's, since his 20s, the hair atop William's crown has been slowly disappearing. News that when the royal couple was visiting his farm, Middleton poked fun at her husband's slight baldness after he showed interest in an alpaca.

Prince William had a full head of blonde hair as a child and teen, but in his twenties, it became apparent that the heir apparent was losing his hair.

Apparently the barber in question for this new look was an assistant of the Duchess of Cambridge's hairdresser and it was done privately for him at Kensington Palace.

Prince William's new do has created a bit of a buzz.

Celebrity hairdresser Adee Phelan is pleased with William's new hairstyle as he told The Sun, "William looks awesome - a million times better".

There are rumors suggesting that Prince William got exhausted of hearing Prince Harry's jokes that's why he chose to shave off his head. "He said at the time "[he's] got way more [hair] than me, thank God!".

British bookmakers are looking to profit from William's hair loss.
