Business Insider cited two sources who "told Business Insider that after the taping was done Miller was asked to leave several times", but he "ignored those requests and ultimately security was called and he was escorted out, the sources said".

"CNN called around to news organizations and said you were escorted off the set by security", Carlson said.

At one point, Tapper urged Miller to "settle down, calm down" and accused him of performing to please Trump, whom he referred to as Miller's "one viewer".

Senior Advisor to the President for Policy Stephen Miller talks to reporters about President Donald Trump's support for creating a "merit-based immigration system" in the James Brady Press Briefing Room at the White House August 2, 2017 in Washington, DC. "Watch the hatred and unfairness of this CNN flunky!" he posted.

Miller then went on to justify Trump's habit of self-flattery by saying that he was "a political genius" who had "tapped into something magical that's happening in the heart of this country".

He compared questions of his mental fitness, raised by Wolff's book, to that of President Ronald Reagan, who had suffered from Alzheimer's disease toward the end of his presidency.

Defending himself on NBC, the author said he had no anti-Trump agenda when he began the project.

"I think I've wasted enough of my viewers' time", Tapper said, cutting Miller off mid-sentence.

Wolff's bare-knuckle "Fire and Fury" quotes key aides and portrays the Trump White House as a fetid stew of backbiting, incompetence and dysfunction and paints Trump as craven, unstable and far out of his depth in the Oval Office.

".And with respect to the Trump Tower meeting that [Bannon's] talking about [in Wolff's book], Bannon was not even there when any of this went down". I'm offering-and this was totally mystifying to people in the White House-I'm offering a book'.

After Miller criticized the news network's credibility on the show "State of the Union", anchor Jake Tapper cut Miller's interview short, reports CBS News. "And the tragic thing about this - and there are many things about it that are unfortunate - but the portrayal of the president in the book is so contrary to reality, to the experience of those who work with him". Miller has been on record saying disgusting things about Muslims, about immigrants, about Mexicans Basically, any group of non-white people, Stephen Miller's the kind of guy who's going to be the first in line to tell you why they're awful and destroying the United States of America.

He said Miller wanted to be given a platform to spruik his own agenda, "facts be dammed".
