Oprah's Golden Globes speech may have prompted excitement from some corners about a potential 2020 presidential bid, but one person remains unconvinced that the media mogul would beat the incumbent. Trevor Noah can see it.

As soon as Oprah Winfrey concluded her powerful speech at the Golden Globe Awards on Sunday night, a lot of people had thoughts, which mostly went something like this: "So, she's running for president, right?"

Winfrey, who along with most of the show's other attendees donned a black gown to show support for victims of sexual misconduct, was the first black woman to receive the annual Cecil B. De Mille award, joining the likes of Meryl Streep, Steven Spielberg, Barbra Streisand and Sophia Loren.

"Yes, we can! Am I the only one who had that feeling?"

Oprah Winfrey is "intrigued" by the idea of running for USA president, but she is not "actively considering" it right now, her best friend Gayle King said Tuesday.

After slamming NBC News for its deleted "OUR future president" tweet about Oprah, and using it to take more shots at the network, Hannity then derided "private jet liberals" over their "newfound political affection for Oprah".

She mentioned her gratitude "to all the women who have endured years of abuse and assault, because they, like my mother, had children to feed and bills to pay and dreams to pursue". "They're the complete opposite!"

If true, it would indicate Winfrey's warmed to the idea since October, when she told King, "There will be no running for office of any kind".

Again the political elites chortled - Oprah Winfrey! "I think we'd win easily, actually".

"She would be a serious candidate", said Jennifer Palmieri, former White House communications director under President Barack Obama and the communications director for Hillary Clinton's 2016 campaign.

"Can you imagine Oprah as president?" The notion got a boost from Oprah's partner, Stedman Graham, who told the LA Times that Oprah would "absolutely do it" if the conditions were right, but "it's up to the people".

Some of Winfrey's close friends have reportedly been urging her to run, CNN reported. You are too mean and unrelatable. Would you really want to get mad at Oprah? "They responded officially to the news that Oprah might run, saying, 'We welcome all comers.' Yeah, which is very easy to remember cause it's the exact opposite of their immigration policies".
