  • Miguel Sano Of Minnesota Twins Accused Of Assaulting Female Photographer

A female photographer who covers the Minnesota Twins claims she was assaulted by All-Star Miguel Sano after an autograph signing in 2015. when he allegedly tried to drag her into a bathroom to hook up against her will. Bissen wrote that Sano grabbed her wrist and took her to the Apple store following the signing.

Today, photographer Betsy Bissen told her story on Twitter. She said he repeatedly tried to kiss her and pull her into a public restroom while she resisted. It hurt, how badly he was grasping at my wrist, but he wouldn't let go. As Sano, his agent and the man who ran the store she worked at walked away, she said, the baseball player "grabbed my wrist and made me go with them". When Bissen pointed at the door, she wrote, "the athlete took that as a signal that I wanted him to grab me and try to take me back through that door". "When I said no, it should have been the end of it".

"I screamed, no one came to help me", she states. He finally gave up after a solid ten mins (sic) of me fighting to pull me thru (sic) that door'.

Sano has denied that he assaulted Bissen, telling TMZ that "it never happened".

The Twins said in a statement that the team takes the allegations "very seriously". Instead, he hurt me and kept going.

"We are aware of the allegations and are now in the process of looking into it", Major League Baseball spokesman Mike Teevan said in a statement posted on ESPN's website.

Bissen concluded her essay by identifying the athlete as Sano.

Today the Minnesota Twins were made aware of allegations involving Miguel Sanó at an offsite appearance during the 2015 season. "There is no place for it in our society".

Bissen added in a follow-up post that "the Twins knew nothing about what happened to me".

Bissen offered a detailed account of the incident appended to a tweet, which is reproduced below.

MLB Trade Rumors reported tit contacted Bissen and asked if she would cooperate with MLB if the organization attempted to contact her and she said yes.

Bissen's lengthy Twitter post included the hashtag '#metoo, ' in reference to the growing movement of sexual assault victims breaking their silence about the issue.

"I'm so sorry about this", Trevor Plouffe, a former Twins utilityman, wrote to her on Twitter. There have been enough #metoo stories that illustrate why women wait to speak out'.

Sano, 24, is coming off an All-Star 2017 campaign that saw him hit.264 with 28 homers and 77 RBI.
