Las Vegas police are investigating a robbery that occurred at the Bellagio hotel-casino around 3:37 p.m.

In Tuesday's robbery, police have said they're looking for a white man who was armed with a handgun and wearing a mask. The employees complied with the suspect's demands and handed him an undetermined amount of money.

The robbery happened Tuesday afternoon in the poker room. South, on reports of the robbery, Metropolitan Police Department officer Jay Rivera said.

Actor James Woods tweeted he was playing poker there at the time and didn't realize what was happening. "Excellent staff, cool under pressure".

"So we are playing poker at the @BellagioPoker and a guy walks up with a gun and robs the cage thirty feet from us ten minutes ago".


And while officers were soon on the scene, the suspect had already gotten away.

As mentioned, Capt. Pelletier said that he is confident that investigators have enough clues when combining security video, eye witness accounts, the information about the auto, and more, that the suspect will be apprehended.

Metro Captian John Pelletier said that they are "comfortable and confident" that they have enough to apprehend the man.

The suspect fled the area in a silver Chevrolet Cruze with a Nevada license plate that read 37D147.

The vehicle has since been recovered, although the suspect remains at large.
