Ryan Gosling couldn't control his laughter during these SNL skits last night

  • Is Saturday Night Live new tonight, September 30th?

"Blade Runner 2049" star Ryan Gosling will be back in Studio 8H to host "SNL" for the second time.

The sketch itself wasn't all that bad, but poor Gosling couldn't keep a straight face throughout as Kate McKinnon had him desperately trying to keep down the laughter.

A crew of A-listers such as Scarlett Johansson, Alicia Keys and Dakota Johnson joined the foursome at an after party at TAO in New York City, where Gosling and Mendes were spotted together - a rarity in their books - holding hands as they walked into the venue.

ALEC Baldwin may very well have made it impossible for viewers to picture anyone else on Saturday Night Live in the shoes of President Donald Trump, but before Baldwin ever donned the blonde wig, SNL vet Darrell Hammond was spouting the loud, ostentatious rants Trump was known for. With more than 7 million viewers for the premiere episode, this was (excluding the premiere previous year in the heat of the election) the most-watched start to the season since 2010.

His monologue poked fun at the hit film La La Land and the idea that Ryan's character "saves jazz".

It's unclear at the moment as for what songs Jay will be performing on the season premiere, but it's safe to say they will be from his newly released 4:44 album. McKinnon was especially eerie as Attorney General Jeff Sessions, and Moffat debuted his take on Trump frenemy Chuck Schumer.

In a bit that will generate wide discussion, "Weekend Update" lambasted Trump for his slow response to the Puerto Rico crisis. It's hurricane relief. These people need help. Maybe you just want people to stop calling non-brand Velcro Velcro when it's really generic hook-and-loop.

That's right-the most meme-able hunk on the planet was the host with the most for tonight's 43rd season premiere of SNL with musical guest Jay-Z. He still is an wonderful musician and it is one thing you don't want to miss.

"Papyrus" The only thing disappointing about this sketch featuring Ryan Gosling as a man obsessed with the font used on the Avatar logo is that we didn't get to see the much longer version that was shown at dress rehearsal.

In other sketches, he was a brother who shared weird secrets on the family's home design show, a diner outraged by a pasta test, a jazz flutist in a club, a model in Levi Woke jeans commercial and an "Avatar" fan obsessed with graphic design.
