  • US President Donald Trump and Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu shake hands after delivering press statements prior to an official dinner in Jerusalem

Iran's president warned Wednesday that his country will "respond decisively" to any violation of the agreement that reins in its nuclear program and called President Trump's "ignorant, absurd and hateful rhetoric" about Iran unfit for the United Nations.

Rouhani continued by defending his country's participation in the nuclear agreement and offered a threat directed towards the USA, saying that Iran "will respond decisively and resolutely to its violation by any party".

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said his country will preserve an worldwide deal on Iran's nuclear program but decisive response would be made to possible violation by the US.

President Donald Trump stated on Wednesday afternoon he had come to a decision on the Iran deal he called an "embarrassment" during his speech to the United Nations on Tuesday.

Were Trump to abandon the seven-nation deal which was agreed in 2015, Rouhani said Iran could resume its previous nuclear activities which it has always insisted was exclusively to meet its energy needs.

Trump hinted at a possible US pull out from the global accord that curtailed Iran's nuclear program in exchange for sanctions relief.

Netanyahu also drew an implied and flattering comparison between Trump and Obama on the 2015 Iran nuclear deal. In reality, Iran has little incentive to negotiate such concessions. "I say it can happen".

"Either the nuclear deal remains as it is or it will collapse", he added.

In a news conference late on September 20 after meeting with other parties to the agreement at the United Nations, Tillerson for a second time singled out the deal's "sunset" clauses, which end restrictions on Iranian nuclear activities such as uranium enrichment after 10 years in 2025. "Peace in the Middle East would be a truly great legacy for ALL people!" As bad as the deal is on its face, it is worse than useless if Iran is allowed to break its pledges.

"There are other issues that are out of the scope of the agreement and these issues might be tackled in two different formats, including the fact that it's not a mystery, I guess, the United States is having a review on its own Iranian policy".

Netanyahu also used to address to talk up Israel's diplomatic credentials, while threatening Iran with potential action.

"We will discuss, we can seize the opportunity to peace between Israel and the Palestinians", said Netanyahu.

Prime Minister Netanyahu said, "I want to say that under your leadership, the alliance between America and Israel has never been stronger, never been deeper".
