  • Corinne Olympios opened up about her scandal with DeMario Jackson on “Bachelor In Paradise”

She simply said the combination of medication and alcohol impaired her judgment. "I definitely overdrank, I did".

She added: "So it really just caused a awful, frightful blackout". I'm so sorry you had to go through this.

As we previously stated, we recently became aware of allegations regarding an incident on the set of Bachelor in Paradise in Mexico.

Though Olympios does take responsibility for drinking excessivelyon the day of the alleged incident, she explains that the addition of an undisclosed medication led to her losing awareness.

After a great deal of speculation and rumors ensued after the production of Bachelor in Paradise abruptly stopped earlier this summer, Corinne Olympios has kept somewhat of a low profile.

"In Corinne's statement, she referred to herself as a victim, " Harrison said. "All of a sudden people became an expert on the situation and what was just awful to deal with".

"I would love for everyone to have just a better understanding of me and my side and what I think", the admittedly nervous 25-year-old told host Chris Harrison during a pre-taped studio interview that aired during the episode's second hour.

Olympios added that she'd had a hard time accepting that her story was being spread by people who did not have all the facts.

Olympios was invovled in an incident in June with fellow contestant DeMario Jackson. Instead, she told BIP viewers that it wasn't his fault and that she felt sorry for him.

Meanwhile, Jackson spoke to E!

"I was nearly nervous to talk to him because he did run to the media, and I didn't want to add fuel to the fire", she continued. This is hot. This is very. "Although I have little memory of that night, something bad obviously took place, which I understand is why production on the show has now been suspended and a producer on the show has filed a complaint against the production", Olympios said in a statement to PEOPLE.

Jackson had a sit-down with Harrison of his own last week, and tearfully said that the accusation of sexual assault was "every man's biggest fear".

True to her words, the reality star has chose to open up about the scandal during her sit-down interview with "Bachelor in Paradise" host Chris Harrison on Tuesday.

"I wish him well". "The next thing I know, DeMario is saying this, this and this and I'm like, 'Ugh!" There's no bad blood there. However, Warner Bros., the company behind the show, determined that Jackson was innocent of any wrongdoing.

Bachelor in Paradise airs on ABC Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET.

Olympios told Harrison that she was in fact "blacked out" during her time with Jackson, but cast and crew failed to notice that she was acting differently because, as she put it, she was known as the "fun" one when she initially appeared on "The Bachelor".
