So you want to hit the front lines before Call of Duty: WWII's release in November, but you haven't pre-ordered for beta access yet? If you're already that person and won't be able to stand waiting a second longer than required for you to dive right into the action, you'll be pleased to know that pre-loading for the Call of Duty: WWII beta kicks off today for PS4 players with digital pre-orders.

The download comes in at just over 16GB. Activision says that everyone will receive a code before 10 am PT, 1 am ET, 6 pm BST, 7 pm CEST on Friday, August 25. An open beta for all PS4 and Xbox One users with online services subscribed can check out the game from September 1 to September 4. It will also allow you to access 5 Battle Divisions and War Mode through the Breakout operation.

There's some terms to keep in mind before applying for a Call of Duty: WWII beta code, though. Sure, you can fiddle with your loadout and send out invites or chat with people who might be there, but for the most part, it's a passive experience.

Headquarters is being promoted as the first-ever "dedicated social space" in a Call of Duty game.

Headquarters, while confusingly also a game mode within the Call of Duty franchise, is actually a social space where players can hang during games. For even more chances, our sister site Game Revolution is doing a giveaway of their own that you can enter.
