Usher Accused of Potentially Passing Herpes to Sexual Partners in New Lawsuit

On Monday morning, a woman named Quantasia Sharpton, who claims Usher exposed her to herpes, spoke out against the R&B star at a press conference in NY, held by attorney Lisa Bloom.

Sharpton, who lives in NY, stated that she attended an Usher concert for her 19th birthday two years ago and was picked by the singer out of the crowd. Sharpton told reporters she attended an Usher concert with friends and was chosen to go backstage, where she claims a security guard asked for her phone number on behalf of Usher. I never heard from him again.

After seeing recent headlines describing an alleged lawsuit that Usher settled back in 2012, in which a woman accused him of knowingly exposing her to the herpes virus, the plaintiffs "suffered severe emotional distress, depression and anxiety" and "experienced embarrassment, shame, anxiety and revulsion".

One of the trio has tested positive for the STD, lawyer Lisa Bloom said in a statement, adding that several other people had reached out to her office and could possibly be added to the lawsuit once their claims were reviewed.

The original articles fromRadar Online (about Usher settling a $1 million herpes related lawsuit in 2012) and TMZ (about Usher facing a $20 million lawsuit from another woman) have not held up well to further scrutiny.

Although she doesn't have the STD at least one of the other two being represented by Bloom claims they have - and blame Usher.

"We hope that Mr Raymond (Usher) tests negative for herpes, and that this can all be cleared up quickly", she added.

As well, since Raymond has not contacted any of the plaintiffs and left no way for them to contact him following their sexual encounters, the lawsuit argues that they have been unable to directly confirm or deny that he has herpes. One of the plaintiffs, according to Bloom, contracted the virus.

The documents are allegedly from a lawsuit in which a woman claimed she contracted the virus from Usher.

"I had a child a year ago, and I knew I was negative", Sharpton said. I would not have taken the risk of getting an incurable disease...

The identity of the second woman and the man, who claimed to have had sex with Usher in recent weeks, in contrast, have not been disclosed.

"I was upset by the reports because I never would have consented if I had known".

Usher is about to lose all his "Yeah" money just because he didn't confess he had herpes.

Usher's attorney did not respond to PEOPLE's request for comment.
