  • Steph Curry Signed The Richest Contract In NBA History

He also owed it to himself to discover the value the Warriors would place on him. With the Warriors' limited cap space, they can likely only sign Iguodala to a contract worth between $10-$12 million per year, much less than he will command on the open market.

He met with San Antonio, a meeting he requested, and Houston, who according to Marc Spears of The Undefeated gave Iguodala an offer.

USA Today Sports reports that Curry had previously been on a four-year, $44 million dollar contract, but if you do the math, he now gets about $40 million a year.

One of the first deals that was agreed to once free agency began at 12:01 a.m. ET Saturday was the Warriors' "supermax" offer to Stephen Curry, which will pay him $201M over the next five years, and make him the highest-paid player in the history of the National Basketball Association.

The other major signing, Kevin Durant, at somewhere between $28 million and $31 million, is anticipated to occur once Iguodala's status has been clarified.

Most high-caliber superstars will be signing deals north of $200 million.

Iguodala would be the final component of that, should he agree to terms with the team.
