  • Review: 'Arms' Is Weird, Wonderful, and Maybe the Perfect Switch Game

Nintendo Switch owners were hyped upon the speculations of Nintendo releasing an updated version the hit "Pokemon Sun and Moon" game, that was released for the Nintendo 3DS a year ago.

The Nintendo Direct stated that the two video games would be released on the Nintendo 3DS, however, it was previously rumored online that the titles would also see a launch on Nintendo's latest console release, the Switch.

Pokken Tournament was the first of the series to feature a real-time fighting system as opposed to the typical, turn-based combat of the core titles.

We reached out to The Pokemon Company to ask if Ultra Sun and Moon will be coming to the Nintendo Switch.

ARMS is set to be released on June 16, Splatoon 2 on July 21, and Pokken Tournament DX on September 22, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch. The games are revamped versions of Pokémon Sun and Moon, which were released for the 3DS in November. We're not sure if there will ever be plans to bring the main Pokemon RPG to the Switch, but for now we guess Pokken Tournament DX will have to do.

Ultra Sun and Moon will feature an alternate storyline with new Alola creatures, and will drop on 17 November 2017. While it doesn't look like Gold and Silver will arrive for Nintendo Switch, at least both platforms are obtaining support.

The game will not differ much from the original release, other than being able to utilize the Switch's mobile capabilities.

Rejoice, Pokemon fans! The greatest news since Pokemon GO may have just arrived.

An administrative error also listed the games as available for Switch, though Nintendo has quickly quashed that detail. More information on the new Pokemon is expected to be coming soon, with more details during E3 2017 being possible.
