  • At least four people were detained at a rally on Boulder's Pearl Street Mall this Saturday

"March for Truth" rallies were organized in about 130 cities on Saturday in support of additional independent investigation into alleged ties between Moscow and President Trump or his associates.

Several of the protesters held signs decrying Trump's recent move to withdraw the US from the Paris Climate Accord.

"The people are woke, we are woke", said Sarsour, a co-chair of the massive Women's March that was held on the Mall the day after Trump's inauguration.

Eastern. The New York event started at 9.00 a.m.

Kate Handley, a resident of Chesapeake, Virginia, also attended the DC protest, saying that as a military veteran she was frustrated with Trump's "selling out the United States". "I mean, this affects our constitution".

"I believe democracy is at risk right now, and I believe that we need the truth, absolutely we need the truth, as far as whether Russian Federation meddled in the election", a demonstrator said. In addition to concerns over collusion with the Kremlin, Trump experienced a wave of global backlash following his decision to withdraw from the Paris climate agreement on Thursday.

That rally was dubbed "Pittsburgh, Not Paris" - a reference to the president's statement Thursday, in announcing his plan to withdraw from the worldwide climate treaty, that "I was elected to represent the citizens of Pittsburgh, not Paris".

Public advocate Tish James welcomed Trump's supporter, who James refers to as "Agent Orange".

"When he mentioned Pittsburgh, it touched my heart", Vincent Fusca said of Trump's use of Fusca's hometown.

Pittsburgh, once known not just as a powerhouse steel producer but as one of the most polluted cities in the country, will work to convert its city vehicle fleet to hybrid and electric vehicles and to make its buildings more energy-efficient, said Peduto. "Therefore, we are organizing a group to demonstrate our support for President Trump and his fearless leadership", it added. "He's a man of his word and I respect that".

Two weeks ago, former FBI Director Robert Mueller was appointed by the Department of Justice to serve as Special Counsel on the Russian Federation investigation. So for me, the investigation is about Russian Federation, of course, and the myriad connections between Trump's people and Russian Federation, but it's also about fact versus fiction.

"It's important for everyone to get out in the street and stand against the lies".

"We wanted to come out and show our appreciation for what the president's done following through on his campaign promise", one supporter said.

Anne Bedrick of New Rochelle, New York, carried an upside down American flag, which she said symbolized "a country in distress". "I really want them to be accountable for their behaviors".
