After revealing that she was pregnant, Williams' rep told Reuters that the tennis legend will not be competing for the rest of the 2017 season so she can focus on preparing for motherhood.

Within two hours, the photo she posted on Instagram along with the caption already had 130,000 likes.

Today, Williams, who dropped to #2 after her break, has officially returned to the top rank today, making her the oldest World No. 1 in tennis history, male or female.

Another wrote: "Wonderful words, so lovely".

Serena Williams broke Steffi Graf's Grand Slam record with 23 titles. "She won the last Australian Open [in January when she would have been eight weeks pregnant]".
